The Greenville Conference on Reformed Theology is a ministry of Second Presbyterian Church. Join us on October 31 – November 2, 2025 as we consider this year’s theme – The Glorious Holy Spirit. Tickets are free but registration is required.
A pre-conference banquet is available on Friday evening for $10.

Speakers

Dr. David Strain
Dr. David Strain was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He holds degrees from Duncan Jordanstone College of Art, Trinity College Glasgow/School of Divinity, the Free Church of Scotland College in Edinburgh, and Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in the Free Church of Scotland in September 2003, and has held pastoral charges in London, England, and Columbus, MS. Since May 2013, David has served on the pastoral staff of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson and was installed as Senior Minister in May 2014. He was awarded a Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Theological Seminary (Jackson) in 2016.
David and his wife, Sheena, have two sons, Euan and Joel.

Rev. Rob Ventura
Rob Ventura serves as one of the pastors of Grace Community Baptist Church in North Providence, Rhode Island. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Baptist Seminary, graduating in 2006. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he is an accomplished author and editor. He has co-authored A Portrait of Paul and Spiritual Warfare, and has served as general editor for Going Beyond the Five Points, Covenant Theology, Lectures in Systematic Theology, and A New Exposition of the London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689. He has contributed to The Reformation Heritage KJV Study Bible and regularly writes for Reformation 21.
Rob and his wife are blessed with three children.

Dr. Richard Phillips
Richard Phillips is Senior Minister of the historic Second Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC. He is the author of forty-five books and frequently speaks at conferences on the Bible and Reformed Theology. He is series co-editor of the Reformed Expository Commentary series (P&R).
Dr. Phillips is an adjunct professor at Westminster Theological Seminary, where he serves on the Board of Trustees as chairman of the Academic Affairs Committee. He serves on the Council of the Gospel Reformation Network. He has enjoyed a long association with the Rafiki Foundation and contributed extensively to the Rafiki Bible Study.

The conference will be held at Second Presbyterian Church (105 River St. Greenville, SC 29607). Free parking is available on site.
