Fitz was born and raised near Travelers Rest, SC. He was blessed to grow up in a loving Christian home and raised by parents that taught him the importance of having a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Fitz received a B.S. in Aeronautical Science while attending Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He’s employed at United Airlines as a Boeing 737 Captain. He enjoys being in a position where God often presents opportunities to mentor young pilots.
Fitz met his wife Tamara in Madison, Wisconsin and have been married since 2003. Tamara is a loving and devoted wife and mother who loves the Lord. She homeschools their two children Fitz III and Grace.
Fitz and Tamara lived in Houston, TX, from 2006–2017, where they were members at First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood. During that time, they would escape the Houston heat and spend their summers here in Greenville. During those summers, Fitz and Tamara began visiting Second with Fitz’s parents. After moving back to Greenville, they knew they wanted to make Second their church home. They have been members since 2019.
Fitz and Tamara love their church family and the solid doctrine taught at Second. They feel blessed that God led them here.
