Tyler grew up in a Christian home and moved several times during his childhood. By God’s providence, the last move landed him in Findlay, Ohio where he met his wife Kate at church and got to know her through high school speech class. Tyler says It is by God’s grace that she was still interested in him after speech class.
Tyler attended Judson University where he continued learn about God’s Word, and graduated with a masters degree in architecture. After Graduation, he and Kate were married and lived in Chicago, IL for eight years before moving to Greenville to be closer to family.
Soon after his move to the upstate, Tyler was shown God’s irresistible grace in a new way, which led to an insatiable desire to read God’s word and an increased interest in Reformed theology. Tyler and Kate began attending SPC in 2017 and SPC has been a huge blessing in their lives and the lives of their four children: Walker, Nora, Addison, and Baby-on-the-Way. As a family, the Hugheses enjoy going for walks, spending time outdoors, and fellowshipping with friends and family. Tyler is excited for the opportunity to serve the church that has blessed him so much.
