John Atwood is married to Margaret and they are the parents of Nathan, Carly and Audra. John accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord following the testimony of some members of Campus Crusade for Christ while he was a student at Clemson University. He was reared in Second Church and was first elected to the office of Deacon in his early 30’s, serving as secretary and as Sympathy and Service chair. He works in the sound room as part of the media team and has also taught in Sunday School. His favorite scripture verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 because it gives him comfort to know that God is always in control of all things in his life.
