This habit of worshipping God and seeking after His leading continued during his higher education and all through his life. Al thanks the Lord for his reformed teaching at Second Presbyterian which gives him daily assurance that God is in control and “works out all things for his good”, Romans 8:28, his favorite bible verse.
Al has served God at Second Presbyterian as a deacon. He has been chairman of the Building Committee and Missions Committee. Al presently serves on the Long Range Planning where his engineering background gives him good insight into the planning and building processes. Al has worked with CEF at Augusta Circle Elementary School serving as Grade Shepherd to the fourth and fifth grade students. He plans to return to this most rewarding work after his present working assignment is completed.
