Bio
David Burman was blessed to be born into a Christian family. At age eight he was led by his mother to pray for salvation. Throughout his childhood he attended services at a small Baptist church with his family.
After graduating from high school and working a year in a factory, David attended Practical Bible Training School (PBTS), now Davis College in Johnson City, New York. While there, he learned that there are faithful Christians besides Baptists. It was during this time that he was first exposed to the “doctrines of grace”.
After attending PBTS he joined the First Baptist Church in Afton, NY and for the next 20 years served on several committees, taught Sunday School, and worked in the library.
In May of 1998 David and his family moved to Greenville, and he started work at Bob Jones University in the Information Technology department and remains there today.
David and Audrey have two married children and five grandchildren.
After attending several other churches in Greenville, David and Audrey finally visited Second Presbyterian in 2014 and joined the church in 2016. David is pleased to be part of this ministry, and he looks forward to serving the Lord as a deacon, desiring to be a blessing to others.
