Bio
Born in Hendersonville, NC, I grew up as a missionary kid in South Korea from ages 7 through 18. For the first 3 years at Wheaton College, I struggled with unbelief, but the Lord was gracious and enabled me to put my trust in Christ before my senior year.
During medical school in St. Louis, I fellowshipped at Grace and Peace Reformed Presbyterian church and at a nondenominational church during my residency in Columbia, South Carolina.
For the next 2 years, I worked and took courses at Columbia International University grad school. The Lord blessed me by using a fellow student to introduce me to her sister, Sarah. After marrying, we served for a year at a small mission hospital in Togo, West Africa. Then I practiced medicine for 3 years in West Virginia before we moved to Greenville.
I taught at the Family Practice Residency at GMH for 14 years. Then I joined the Occupational Medicine program at St. Francis WorkWell where I’ve practiced for the last 13 years.
We attended Grace (Reformed) Baptist Church for 12 years, then Redeemer Presbyterian church for 7 years before being led to Second Presbyterian Church.
Here we have been blessed by the service of faithful pastor-teachers, elders, deacons and members who have loved us and our children. I hope to be used by the Lord in serving as a deacon in whatever capacity He directs.
