Committee | Worship & Music
David praises the Lord for blessing him and his wife, Linda, with three children, Jonathan, Jenny and Londa, and seven grandchildren. They joined SPC in 1994, and David was elected elder in 1997, serving thereafter on several committees, including Christian Education, Worship and Music, Pastoral Care and Missions. David was privileged to grow up as a child of missionaries in Peru, who led him to receive God’s forgiveness through Christ when he was about five years old. Since marriage, God has impressed him with the importance of commitment to a local church under the oversight of elders. He has grown to love the Reformed Faith and God’s sovereign grace and has been blessed to be under many godly and gifted preachers and teachers of the Word.
While still considering himself to be a “work in progress”, God has been sovereignly working in his life through both trials and joys. One of his favorite verses is: “Therefore…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” Phil. 2:12,13
