About Good Grief
The years 2020 and 2021 have presented us with many challenges.
Many of us have found ourselves feeling depression, fear and even grief. We grieve when we have lost a loved one or when we have received a devastating cancer diagnosis or when we have lost a job and financial security. When marriages are troubled perhaps even resulting in divorce, we grieve.
Maybe you are grieving over a rebellious child or other broken relationships. Are you feeling depressed or lonely? Perhaps you don’t know why you are grieving. But Good Grief? You may be thinking “Is there anything good about grief?”
Can anyone truly understand the way I am feeling? Grief can cause us despair or can challenge us to seek comfort in God’s promises. Grief can cause us to reach out to others for comfort. Grief gives us an opportunity to share our experience with others who are also grieving. So yes, grief can be good.
The Good Grief Dinner and Fellowship is such an opportunity to come together to share a meal with others who are grieving, to hear music that comforts and rejoices our hearts, and to hear Dr. Rhett Dodson speak to us about the comforts available to us in the Word. Please join us as we are comforted together in our grief.
on December 3rd at 6 PM. Our featured speaker will be Dr. Rhett Dodson.
